The Junior Chamber is the youth arm of the Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals (UCEM), dedicated to fostering innovation, capacity building, and inclusive participation among young professionals, students, and early career practitioners in Uganda’s energy and minerals sectors.

We are a vibrant community of young leaders passionate about shaping a sustainable and inclusive future. Through strategic partnerships with industry, academia, and government, the Junior Chamber creates platforms for youth to connect, learn, innovate, and lead.

🔧 Skilling & Mentorship

We provide hands on training, career guidance, and mentorship opportunities to build industry relevant skills for youth in the extractives sector.

Carolyn Nabyonga – From Junior Chamber Volunteer to Graduate Field Specialist at SLBMeet Carolyn Nabyonga, a Bachelor of Science graduate in Petroleum and Minerals Geoscience and now a Graduate Field Specialist Trainee at SLB. Her journey with the Junior Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals was a pivotal chapter in her career—offering nine months of hands-on experience, mentorship, and deep industry exposure.Through volunteering with the Junior Chamber, Carolyn contributed to youth engagement and policy programs, built a valuable network, and gained insights that helped propel her into a competitive global role. Today, she credits the Junior Chamber as a powerful launchpad that shaped her path and encourages fellow students and graduates to seize the same opportunity.
