My name is Salma Navuga, and I graduated from Kyambogo University in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Logistics Management. I am deeply grateful to the Junior Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals (JUCEM) for offering me an internship opportunity that became a turning point in my career journey.
I was honored to be selected for an internship placement at the Uganda Chamber of Energy and Minerals (UCEM). That experience was far more than a resume booster but a launchpad. It equipped me with hands-on skills, real-world insights, and the confidence to pursue a meaningful career in procurement.
Today, I am proud to serve as the Procurement Officer at UCEM, a role I earned thanks to the solid foundation laid during my internship. The mentorship, guidance, and trust I received from the team shaped me into the professional I am becoming. The supportive environment at JUCEM allowed me to learn, grow, and thrive.
